Veloro is a bespoke house. Measurements are the most personal thing we hold, and they are not merchandise. This page says what happens to them, and what happens on this website, in plain terms.
We use Google Analytics to count visits — how many people come, which pages they read, roughly where in the world they are. It is the only analytics here. There is no advertising, no advertising pixels, and no tracking of you across other sites, and Google Analytics' advertising features are switched off.
Where you are decides how we ask. European law asks for permission before analytics identifiers are stored; American law asks for plain notice and a real way out. The house follows the visitor rather than picking one. In the UK, the EU, the EEA and Switzerland a small notice appears first, and until you choose Accept no Google code is downloaded, no request reaches Google, and nothing is written to your browser. Elsewhere analytics runs from the first page, described here rather than behind a pop-up, and one click below ends it for good.
If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal, we treat it as a decline, you are never asked, and we re-read the signal on every visit — so turning it on later stops analytics even if you had accepted before.
If you do accept, Google receives your IP address, the pages you view here, and
general device and browser information, and sets identifiers that recognise a returning
browser. It acts as our service provider; its practices are at
policies.google.com/privacy.
Your answer is kept in your browser's local storage as ga-consent and
nowhere else — we cannot see it.
Changing your mind takes one click: · . Clearing this site's data does the same.
If you have been sent a link to follow a commission, that page carries an identifier that is yours. It is never sent to Google. Analytics on that page is told to record the path only, with the identifier stripped, so the fact that the page was opened can be counted without the link itself leaving this site.
Measurements, fit notes and anything else you give the atelier are used to make your garment and to advise you on the next one. They are not sold, not rented, and not shared with anyone for their own marketing. They are shared with the mill only to the extent a piece cannot be knitted without them.
To see what we hold, correct it, or have it deleted, write to press@veloro.co and say so plainly. There is no form and no process to navigate.
